We will work with Playright, to offer teachers and parents training the concept and practice of free play, and include time during school hours for children to experience unstructured free play, which is something our culture rarely permits at home or at school.
Another form of playing in this project will be presented as Movement EducationIt is an individualized, “noncompetitive”, problem solving approach to PE. In the Movement Education learning process, creative thinking of students is required in discovering various solutions for movement problems. Dr. Masa Leung, an experienced PE teacher having studied and executed Movement Education in schools and kindergartens for years, will take care of the design of a tailored Movement Education programmes for the school. She will also conduct an action research about this topic with the school teachers and interns in order to produce a curriculum ready for use by Hong Kong schools.
